There are three main methods of burning at present
1、 LPG downdraft kiln is widely used
Using liquefied gas as fuel, the nozzle is symmetrically installed at the bottom edge of the combustion chamber, and the smoke exhaust duct is set in the center of the bottom. After ignition, the flame leaps along the net on both sides of the combustion chamber. After reaching the top, under the suction of the chimney, the flame first gathers in the middle, and then falls downward through the whole combustion chamber to enter the smoke exhaust duct, and then exits the combustion chamber along the chimney.
Liquefied gas downdraft kiln has a large space in the kiln, which is generally used for firing large-scale purple pottery jars and so on. In ceramic factories with large shipment volume, liquefied gas downdraft kiln will also be used to burn small pieces such as teapots and cups.
2、 The most stable firing in electric kiln
The electric kiln provides temperature through the furnace wire around the combustion chamber. The whole firing process can be set in advance. The kiln process can be completed according to the procedures set by itself. The operation is the simplest and the safety is the highest.
In general, the space inside the electric kiln is relatively small, some can only burn 10 to 20 pieces of purple pottery pots at a time. Generally, small ceramic art workshops with a small shipment tend to use electric kilns.
3、 The most mysterious way to make wood kiln
Among the three firing methods, Chai kiln is the oldest and the most mysterious. Almost every kiln has its own story. From the firing cycle point of view, the firewood kiln takes the longest time. Using wood as fuel, it is difficult to accurately grasp the temperature and temperature.
The space of a wood kiln can be large or small. The large one is like a dragon kiln. It can burn thousands of ceramic works at a time. The small one can be as small as the mouth of one or two hundred small pieces at a time. In short, the space in the kiln can be constructed according to its own needs.
The layout of the kiln and the firing method will lead to the difference of heat in different parts, which has great influence on the success rate and final firing effect. Common will appear part of the temperature is too high, resulting in bubbles. When the Chai kiln was firing naked, the naturally falling gray glaze was sought after by some ceramic friends.
