The main economic value of tea plant lies in the new buds and leaves, but at the same time, the new buds and leaves play a very important role in the photosynthesis of tea plants, which is the main part of photosynthesis of tea plants.
In the tea picking season, every tea picker should pay special attention to how many new buds and leaves should be picked and how much should be kept. If the pursuit of immediate economic value, excessive picking of fresh leaves, then the tea plant can not carry out normal photosynthesis, the formation and accumulation of organic matter in tea can not be normal.
Therefore, when picking, we should pay attention to leave leaves to meet the needs of tea growth and development. In fact, reasonable leaf retaining is to be able to pick more in the future, so retaining and picking seem contradictory, in fact, can promote each other.
At present, there are two ways to deal with the relationship between picking and keeping
First, centralized mining and centralized retaining. This method is mainly aimed at famous tea. It is generally collected in spring, where the fish leaves are collected, while the newly born buds and leaves in summer and autumn are kept.
Second, when the new shoots grow to a certain extent, the top buds and some tender leaves are picked, leaving fish leaves or 1-2 true leaves on the new shoots.
When picking tea, we should also consider the relationship between quantity and quality. For most tea, we should not only have high yield, but also require good quality. Therefore, when picking tea, the big one or the small one, the old one or the young one, the later or the earlier, all should be based on the balance of quantity and quality, and strive to achieve both high yield and high quality.
During the growth and development of tea bud and leaf, from tea bud to one bud with one leaf, one bud with two leaves, and one bud with many leaves, the weight of tea plant will be doubled. If you pick it when it is too tender, it will have a great impact on the yield. If you pick one leaf less, the yield will be reduced by about twice.
However, if the buds and leaves grow too old, they will not be able to grow too old. As we have mentioned earlier, because the development of tea shoots has the advantage of top, if the tea is picked too late, the germination of lateral buds will be inhibited. In this way, not only will there be no quality, but also the yield will be reduced.
Moreover, according to the research on tea, the contents of tea polyphenols, amino acids, caffeine and total nitrogen in tea will gradually decrease with the growth of buds and leaves, but some ineffective substances and crude fiber insoluble in water will gradually increase with the growth of buds and leaves. Therefore, if we blindly pursue the quantity and wait for the tea to grow up, the internal effective ingredients have been greatly reduced, which is very unfavorable to the final quality of tea.
In the final analysis, tea is a good taste, good quality, the quality of fresh leaves is a very important basis. If the picking is not reasonable and the quality of fresh leaves is not up to standard, even if the post-processing technology is fine, it can not make high-quality tea. Therefore, when picking fresh leaves, we should pay attention to the proportion of picking and keeping, and take into account the quantity and quality, in order to produce the maximum value.
